Bids we had received from roofing companies were confusing; they offered differing and wide-ranging solutions, including a new roof. Ken gave us assurances that the existing rubber roof was in reasonably good condition but needed some careful attention in areas around drains and roof membrane seams. Ken subsequently brought to our attention previously undetected concerns with an unusual covering over the tops of the walls surrounding the roof. He had also discovered substrate issues with a number of the high walls, advised us of the possible causes, and emphasized the critical need for imminent remedial work in these areas. Ken guided us through everything from a condition assessment, the use of an infrared scan to find all of the moisture problems, the requirements with fixing the walls, choosing a contractor, and a final review of the contractor’s repair work. Without his expertise and patience, this process would have been much more stressful and costly for us”.
